Highland life in the 17th and 18th centuries. Filmed
against the stunning scenery of Glen Nevis, The
Clansman is informative and visually striking and
informative, covering family, the cattle economy and
the origins of tartan and Highland dress.
Also featured are dramatic demonstrations
of the unique weaponry of the Highlanders, the Battle
of Culloden and the ensuing Highland Clearances with
