African Witchfinder picking up awards on the film festival circuit
Our documentary African Witchfinder had its global premiere at the Arizona Film Festival on the 23rd April and it was shown alongside a feature doc on rebellion in Burkina Faso. In early June the film screened at a small festival in Denver where it picked up the Jury and Audience award for documentary short. Our film also won an Award of Merit at the Accolade Global Film Competition.
After the film festival circuit we will be working on other distribution plans, local and national screenings and international collaborations. Our main aim is to raise awareness of the incredible work of Berrie Holtzhausen and his continued efforts to raise awareness of, and help people with dementia in Namibia.
