Working closely with Merlin Entertainment, we’ve produced content for several of their Dungeons regional attractions, delivering assets for use across social, web and experiential display within the attractions themselves. Their brand is huge fun to work with and is perfectly augmented by some superb actor performances from within the local shows. When the company went through a major brand overhaul, our initial task was to take the existing global brand film and re-grade to full black and white, adding in the illustrated elements from the print collateral.
When creating the promo for the Edinburgh Dungeon, the brief looked for a grittier, grimier approach to the more glossy brand film currently in use:
Working with the Merlin team in China to replicate the style of the brand film, we assisted with treatment, scripting, storyboarding and all post production on the promo for the recently opened Shanghai Dungeon.
Amsterdam Dungeon needed a video piece to promote their upcoming new show, Forest of the Dead. As the show had yet to be built, we worked with their print promotional material, separating the assets and bringing the elements to life in a short clip for social.
Supporting the brand across web and social, we generated a series of looping GIF images used to promote the seasonal ‘Seance’ special events run at Dungeons around the world. We took existing imagery from the brand, and added in FX, illustration and hand drawn animation layers.
