Award winning awareness campaigns for national charities
Our partnership with Ramblers Scotland started in 2021 with the award-winning Wild Camping series. We’ve now delivered three projects that have gone on to reach a wide audience snd received multiple accolades along the way. During our time working with Ramblers, we become an extension of their marketing team working together to push for the best results possible.
Getting out and about responsibly
Our multi-award winning series returned for its third iteration this time focusing on Fires, Animals and Leaving No Trace. This newest series was made up of four short videos running across TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat for an audience of 16-25 year olds.
As we’re targeting a young audience on very competitive channels, we often pitch ideas to Ramblers that are humorous and just a little bit different. The team at Ramblers are imperative in this approach as they allow us to try new things and push the boundaries to find new ways of communicating the messaging.
Ramblers are also great at challenging us by setting really ambitious campaign targets. Our creative was simple, refined, and certainly different. In fact it was probably the most bizarre creative we’ve done in a long time…

Behind the scenes
Filming on location in the Scottish countryside can be a risky business in the country famed for having four seasons in one day. For our animal masks shoot we were incredibly lucky that the rain stayed off and we got to work filming at various locations around Yellowcraig Beach. While filming on a beach sounds idyllic, but it’s not all white sand and crystal clear water. Recording sound on a Scottish beach with wind blowing in off the sea made for a challenging environment for the team but with some retakes and a lot of patience they got there. There was even some sunburn which is no mean feat in Scotland in early April.
As well as location challenges, we also had technical challenges with having to shoot everything in a vertical format. This led to some very interesting framing from a cinematography point of view. Having three people in a vertical frame would usually be too many but it was really important to our messaging that we had three characters having a conversation.
